A classic, bold + European-inspired invitation suite and wedding.
The client loved the style of the Victorian era for their wedding, but didn't want it to feel dated. In order to give it a modern twist, we married the couple’s young and fun personality with signature touches of the era.
The influence of the past came alive through custom cameo portraits, calligraphy, old key design, and an abstracted heart locket juxtaposed with a bold, striped pattern and graphic treatment of type. The whole invitation suite is the perfect blend of sophistication and whimsical romance.
There are a total of 5 pieces to this wedding invitation set: the invite, the reply card and matching envelope, a map of the venue, the die-cut key to tie everything together, and the main envelope to house all components.
As a first look at the couple’s wedding aesthetic, they wanted an invitation that set the tone and made a statement. Which is exactly what DWC set out to do, and continued to do the day of the event as well.
For the wedding and the styling of the reception, no detail was overlooked. We carried the design of the wedding invite all the way to the tablescape, visually tying all the elements together. The custom cameo portraits, the black and white pattern, and the pops of emerald green were strategically integrated throughout the wedding.
